Turkish Cultural Center Boston & Boston Global Bridge Institute presented a book signing and discussion with Mustafa Akyol, the author of “Islam without Extremes: A Muslim Case for Liberty” at The Harvard COOP bookstore. In his recent book, Mr. Akyol discusses that Islam can make peace with open society. Islam need not “secularize” itself, but rather, can coexist with religious, political, economic, and social freedoms.
Mr. Akyol is also the author of another book entitled ''Rethinking The Kurdish Question: What Went Wrong? What Next?" and writes bi-weekly at Turkish newspapers Hurriyet Daily and Star.
