Turkish Cultural Center Boston (TCC-B) held a Farewell Reception to Murat Lutem, Consul General of Turkey to Boston.
Consul General Lutem is the first appointed Consul General of Turkey to Boston. Throughout his 2 years of duty in Boston, Consul General has devoted himself to Turkish community. Furthermore, Consul General Lutem has been a sincere friend to Turkish Cultural Center Boston.
On Thursday, October 11, Turkish Cultural Center Boston (TCCB) held a Farewell Reception for Consul General Murat Lutem. The attendees were only among the Turkish Cultural Center Boston's board members, administrators and their families. The reception kicked off by TCCB board president Dr. Zafer Sahinoglu’s speech. The tone of Dr. Sahinoglu’s speech was somewhat emotional. Consul General Lutem also shared his remarks. Event continued with sharing memories and taking family pictures.
As Turkish Cultural Center Boston, we will truly miss Consul General Lutem, a career diplomat for nearly 20 years, but we are also happy for his promotion. We would like to congratulate Consul General’s new position and wish him luck on his new journey.
