At 1:41 p.m. (5:41 a.m. CT) on Sunday, November 23, a quake with a magnitude of 7.2 hit Van province of Turkey near the border of Iran.

According to TRT, state-run network, 59 people were killed and 150 were injured in Ercis. 25 people were also killed in provincial capital also named Van.
